Thanks to your feedback and our extensive product testing, we’ve made huge improvements to our best- selling fan. Whisper 2 now boasts a full matt finish, which gives the fan a premium, luxurious appearance. We’ve also added a subtle light grey tint to the front grille and the bottom of the base, enhancing the minimalist design. A new magnet allows the remote control to be conveniently stored on top of the handle and adjusting the height of the Whisper 2 is now much smoother. On top of this, we’ve also made a number of design and quality improvements, making the Whisper 2 not just better, but more beautiful than its predecessor!

True to its name, Whisper 2 is one of the quietest pedestal fans available. With noise levels starting at just 13 decibels—barely louder than soft breathing—you can enjoy your favourite TV show without any distractions or drift off to a refreshing night’s sleep.

The secret ingredient is the clever engineering behind the double fan blades – which allows Whisper 2 to deliver up to 7x more power than a traditional fan.
Effortlessly efficient
Duux Whisper 2 is incredibly energy efficient, using just 1.6 W at the lowest setting and only 19 W at maximum power. At the current UK price cap (£0.25 per kWh in January 2025), Whisper 2 costs less than 1p to run for an hour at the maximum setting. In fact, you could even run it all day at top speed and only pay £0.11 for 24 hours of cooling.
Comfort and control from across the room
Whisper 2 puts you in control, no matter where you are in the room. The convenient remote control allows you to power on and off and adjust settings from the comfort of your chair or bed. Save your favourite mode, whether it’s a single speed or the natural wind mode, which simulates the feeling of a refreshing natural breeze. If you often struggle to find your remote, Whisper 2 has a neat trick! A magnetic holder on the back of the fan provides convenient remote control storage. When you’re not using it, simply click it in place, and it’s always there when you need it.
26 wind speeds to give you complete control
Unlike most fans that offer only 1, 2, or 3 wind speeds, Whisper 2 provides a whopping 26! With this much control over the cooling airflow in your room, you can be sure to always find the setting that suits you perfectly.
What goes up must come down
Duux Whisper 2’s height can be easily changed between 73cm and 95cm, and with the fan’s vertical oscillation the airflow can be directed up or down. So, whether you’re standing up, sitting down or on the floor, you can be sure that the refreshing wind hits you just right.
Set a timer up to 12 hours
Whisper 2 also offers a shut-off timer, so you don’t even have to turn off the fan. Perfect for bedtime, this lets you set in advance how long you want the fan to run for. At the end of the timer, Whisper 2 stops automatically, allowing you to drift away without a care.

The fan is great, genuinely quiet – at lower settings you really can’t hear anything and even on the highest it is quieter than the lowest setting on any other fan I’ve owned.
26 settings seemed like overkill and I couldn’t imagine the first few would be worth the bother, but I’m a big fan (!) of the lower settings as I struggle with dry eyes. That combined with the natural wind setting has been a game changer for me, just so much more comfortable than a continuous blast.
The night setting is really useful so you can adjust silently at night, or you can set a timer so it just switches off. I haven’t found the remote sensor a problem but I have a small house so am always in direct line of it.
Overall this fan feels well thought out for features and well made. The recyclable packaging is great too. The only slight design issue for me was the paper instructions which rely on pictures showing the parts. The fan front and casing are shown the same size as the small parts that hold them in place and I was totally confused and thought I had parts missing. They do link to the video version which makes much more sense but definitely could use some improvement.

I was actually quite impressed by the Whisper Fan 2, yes it is expensive being over £100 for a fan but there are many things to like. The main selling point is how quiet it is and pretty much inaudible at the lowest setting which is great for when trying to sleep at night. The night mode allows a timer and turns off the beeping whenever you press a button which is useful. I also appreciated the eco packaging as well, all being compostable or recyclable. The remote does need to be pointed at the base to receive the signal and the height of the fan would be better to be a bit taller but apart from that it is great and would highly recommend!

This fan is great. It’s certainly the quietest fan that I have used. It has a wide range of speed settings, if you blast it on the higher settings it does get louder but that’s to be expected – I’ve not needed it that high as it cools well on the low/middle settings. We have been regularly sleeping all night with it on and the background hum doesn’t disturb us.
I’m giving it 4 stars as I would have liked the fan to extend a bit higher up. We use it on the floor and the fan is basically level with our bed. A bit more height would have been nice.

Bought my Whisper 2 after being impressed by a friend’s. I have not been disappointed, it does everything I want, from a whisper of air movement up to a blast of air. It certainly came into its own during the recent heatwave as I was able to get a comfortable night’s sleep with no noise from the fan and a gentle waft of cooling air. Yes you do have to get up and point the remote very close to the sensor but hey, that’s a bonus for my daily activity steps.

Pretty good, I wish there was a way to limit the rotation without upgrading to the next tier of fan. If you enable the vertical rotation it spends half the time pointed at the ceiling. But ignoring that it’s a great fan with no other complaints

I’m loving this fan. It’s very versatile. The most beautiful feature is that it does a great random motion both horizontally and vertically at the same time. I’m actually not a fan of fans generally because I hate a draught, but due to the current hot weather I had to get one and I’m happy to say that while it’s doing its random motion it keeps the air in the room moving generally and occasionally it lands directly on me, and it’s pleasant. You can of course have it set just to point straight at you if you want (that would just kill me). It’s also pretty quiet and it comes with a super handy remote control. Although it’s quite expensive, when you consider it’s possible to pay 100 pounds for a fan that only points in one direction, I’d say this is good value. I was worried I’d regret the purchase, but so far so good. After only two days of use I will be recycling the box as I won’t be sending it back.
Which reminds me, I’m also pleased to say that the packaging is all compostable/recyclable – no plastic wrappers here. And all round, well thought out and well executed product.

I’m happy with the effectiveness of the cooling, quietness and look of the fan.
I do think that the instructions for assembly should be revisited. All parts are identified & numbered but the subsequent illustrations for assembly are too small and fail to say which numbered part should be used at each stage. In particular you should state that the part that secures the fan element, before fixing the outer cover, needs to be wound on counterclockwise. It is because of the instructions that I gave 4 rather than 5 stars.
