Rize to the Occasion: The Portable Fan That Converts From Desk to Floor

Most fans don’t give you options. A desk fan is great while you’re working, but it’s too small for the lounge; likewise, a floor fan can be quite bulky and not suitable for some home offices. The Duux Rize is a portable fan that gives you the best of both worlds. It converts between a compact 34cm desk fan and a 75cm floor fan in seconds, so it’s just as happy cooling you as you work on your laptop as it is cooling a room. What’s more, it’s portable and light enough that you can travel with it too.

A portable fan that goes from desktop to floor stand in one smooth motion

The trick to Rize’s versatility is in its telescopic tube. Extend it, and this portable fan grows from a neat desk fan into a proper floor-standing fan, tall enough to circulate air around a bedroom or living room. Collapse it back down, and it tucks neatly onto a desk or nightstand without hogging space. There’s no separate stand to attach, no tools and no faff, just a smooth telescopic adjustment that means you can use one fan in the place of two.

Once you’ve found the perfect place, a 90° horizontal swing and vertical tilt adjustment from -15° to 35° delivers the airflow exactly where you need it, whether that’s across a desk, down onto a bed or up towards a standing position.

It’s the perfect sleep tool as well, running as quietly as 28 dB, it won’t keep you awake, and the automatically dimming display dims on its own as light levels drop, so it won’t glow distractingly on a bedside table after dark.

A cordless portable fan designed to travel light

At just 1kg and measuring a compact 18 x 21 x 34cm when collapsed, the Rize is light enough to pack and so small that you forget you’ve even got it in your bag. It also features a rechargeable battery offering up to 15 hours of running time and a USB-C connector for charging on the go. This versatile cordless fan works just as well as a fan for camping as it does on a desk. It’s perfect for taking places where there are no nearby sockets, just charge it up and take a cool breeze with you, wherever you go.

The Duux Rize in numbers

1 kg: Incredibly lightweight and just 18 x 21 x 34cm collapsed, this portable fan fits easily into a bag or suitcase without adding noticeable weight or bulk.

34 cm to 75 cm: A telescopic tube means the Rize easily converts from a tabletop unit to a floor-standing fan, offering far more versatility than many fans.

15 hours: Rize features a rechargeable battery that keeps this cordless fan running well beyond a typical workday or a full night’s sleep before it needs charging with the USB-C connector.

28 dB: This is a genuinely quiet fan, ranging between just 28 and 45 dB, making Rize perfect for keeping beside you while you work, read or sleep without the noise becoming a distraction.

4 speeds: Adjustable from a gentle breeze to a stronger blast of airflow at 450m³/h, the four-speed settings let you match the cooling to the room.

90° horizontal swing: Sweeping through a wide 90° horizontal arc with a vertical tilt, adjustable between -15° and 35°, you can direct the airflow exactly where it’s needed.

10W power consumption: The Rize sips energy rather than draining it, so you can leave it running without worrying about the electricity bill.

Why Summer Is the Best Time to Buy a Dehumidifier

Hot weather doesn’t just bring sunshine; it brings humidity.
