Creating an account has a number of advantages:

  • Status of your order – Under “my order” you can view the status of your order.

If you have a Duux account, you can change your account details yourself. You can change your name, email address, delivery and billing address, payment details or password easily:

– Click on “login” at the top right of the page and log in with your e-mail address and password.
– Click on “My details” to change your name, password and / or e-mail address.
– To change your address, go to “Addresses”.

Have you forgotten your password? On the login page you will find the link “Forgotten your password?” Click on this and enter the e-mail address where you want to receive your new password.

Redeeming a discount code is easy! In the first step you can see a field in your shopping cart where you can enter the discount code. Add the discount code by clicking on “add discount code” and the discount will be deducted from the total amount (excluding shipping costs).

Refunds will be processed via the payment method you used to place your original order within 30 days of our distribution centre receiving the returned items. It may then take up to 10 working days for your card issuer to process the refund, although this period varies greatly between banks and it is not something we can influence.

Products

Duux products have a 12 months manufacturer’s warranty + 12 months limited warranty after date of purchase. During this period, we guarantee free repair of defects caused by material and construction faults. This is at the final discretion of the operator of the Duux UK website. If you notice a defect, please first consult the user manual and the online FAQ (regularly updated on www.duux.uk). If this does not give you a satisfying answer, please consult the supplier of your Duux product. If the supplier is unable to solve the problem, they will contact Duux for further processing.

All our products carry the CE mark and meet all the essential requirements of the applicable EU directive(s).

Did you know that the air inside is up to 5 times more polluted than outside? Due to poor ventilation and good insulation, eg. fine dust, gases and pollen swirl around inside with no way out. If you consider that we spend up to 90% of our time indoors… then an air purifier is not an unnecessary luxury.

Do you suffer from stinging eyes, headaches, colds, flu, fatigue, wood floors or static electricity due to dry air in the house? Our humidifiers provide the right level of humidity. During the winter period, humidity can even drop below 20%, making it easier for viruses and bacteria to survive. In summer, too, humidity can drop below 30% in air-conditioned rooms. The ideal air humidity is around 55%. If you do not know your air humidity we advise you to buy our Duux Sense Hygrometer first so that you know exactly which Duux product can offer a suitable solution for your room.

Ultrasonic humidifiers

Ultrasonic humidifiers contain a small metal plate that vibrates with an ultrasonic frequency. These ultrasounds are inaudible to humans, but they are capable of converting water particles from the humidifier’s built-in reservoir into a cool vapor. The device blows this fine mist into the air, increasing the humidity in the room.

Benefits:

Safe and cold mist, rapid increase in humidity, no filter change *, quiet operation.

Cons:

Spreading of mineral / lime dust *, limescale and bacterial growth in the water tank *, regular maintenance, no humidity regulation.

* = Using an antibacterial scale filter in an ultrasonic humidifier reduces scale build-up in the water tank and prevents scale build-up from the mist.

Cold water evaporators

A cold water evaporator uses a water absorbable filter to draw water from the reservoir. A fan that then blows through the filter ensures that the air absorbs the moisture. The higher the relative humidity, the more difficult it is for water to evaporate from the filter. That is why this type of humidifier is self-regulating – as the humidity increases, the water vapor output of the humidifier naturally decreases.

Smart App

• How do I add a new product?

If you haven’t added any devices yet, press the green “Add Device” button on the main screen. Select the product you want to connect and follow the pairing instructions on the device. If you have previously added devices, use the “+” button in the top right corner of the main screen to add a new device.

• How do I update my location?

In the main overview, click on the “Settings” icon in the top left corner. Select “Update location” and drag the screen to your location or use the geolocation button in the top right corner to automatically update your location. It may take a while for your location to update on the main screen.

• How do I add members to my family?

In the main view, press the “Settings” icon in the top left corner. Select “Family” and choose the family you want to add someone to. Use the “+” icon in the top right corner to add a new family member. Please note that you can only add family members with an existing Duux account. If you want to give admin rights to your new family member, switch the toggle button in the top right corner to the “ON” position.

• How do I remove a family member?

In the main view, press the “Settings” icon in the top left corner. Select “Family” and choose the family you want to remove someone from. Press the red “Trash” icon next to the name of the family member you want to delete and confirm in the pop-up window.

• How do I switch between different families?

In the main view, press the “Settings” icon in the top left corner. Select “Family” and use the radio button for the family to switch between different families.

• How do I change the name of my product?

In the main overview, select the connected product that you want to rename. Once selected, swipe up the Settings box at the bottom of the screen. Choose “Settings” and press the closing name to edit.

• How do I delete a device?

In the main overview, select the connected product you want to remove. Once selected, swipe up the settings box at the bottom of the screen. Select “Settings” and press the red “Delete” button to delete the device. Note: This device will also be removed for all members in your household.

• I cannot remove a product or add / remove a family member. What’s wrong?

Ask your family manager to assign you admin rights to perform these actions.

• I cannot connect to a public/open Wi-Fi network without a password. What’s wrong?

Unfortunately, due to firewalls, it is not possible to connect to a public/open Wi-Fi spot without a password.

• I cannot connect to my home network. How can I check if my signal is strong enough?

Try moving your device closer to your central network router. Alternatively, you can check the Wi-Fi signal strength anywhere in your home using a Wi-Fi signal strength meter app.

• I cannot connect to my home network. What could be wrong?

1. Make sure your device and router are turned on.

2. Make sure the network has a strong and stable enough signal. Configure your smartphone or tablet on the same local network, as close to the device as possible, and open a web page to check if browsing is smooth and stable. To test the strength of your connection in a specific location, you can search the App Store or Google Play store for a “Wi-Fi Analyzer”.

3. If the network works stably on your mobile phone or tablet, but the network connection of the Duux device still fails, check if the router is overloaded. You can turn off a device’s Wi-Fi function and turn it back on after a short while to fix this.

4. Check if the password of the router you entered is correct. If the device is not added, the password may have been entered incorrectly. Note the following when configuring and entering the password:

– The Duux app supports the following characters in the Wi-Fi password: numbers, letters and special symbols (e.g. /, -,!,?, *). Language-specific characters such as Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, etc. are currently not supported. The length of the password can be up to 58 characters.

– Check if your smartphone or tablet automatically capitalises when entering the password. This is because the input is case sensitive, and if your password starts with a lowercase letter, it may cause the password to be entered incorrectly.

5. Make sure your smartphone or tablet is set to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, not a 5 GHz band.

Important: Modern routers in some cases offer 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz on the same Wi-Fi signal (called dual band connection) by default. This can cause pairing problems if your smartphone or tablet is connected to the 5 GHz band of the signal by default. Both your smartphone or tablet and your Duux Smart Device must be connected to the 2.4 GHz band of the same Wi-Fi signal.

To solve this problem, you can disable the 5Ghz band in your router settings or create a second Wi-Fi signal for it. Consult the manual of your router.

Advanced:

6. Make sure the encryption method and authentication type are set to WPA2-PSK and AES respectively for the wireless settings of the router. Both can also be set to automatic mode. Make sure that the wireless mode is not only set to 802.11n. The exact designation of these settings differs per router manufacturer. Consult your router manual for exact instructions on how to adjust these settings.

7. If wireless MAC address filtering is enabled for the router, remove your device from the router’s MAC address filtering list to ensure that the device is allowed to connect to the network. You can also turn off MAC address filtering. The exact designation of these settings depends on the router manufacturer. Consult your router manual for exact instructions on how to adjust these settings.

8. Make sure that the DHCP service is enabled on the router so that the Duux Smart Device can be automatically assigned an IP.

CONNECTING THE GOOGLE ASSISTANT

1. What you need to get started:

Before using Google Home to control your devices, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a Google Home device or Android phone with the Google Assistant
  • Latest Google Home app or Google app (Android only)
  • A Google account
  • Duux app and related account
  • Duux smart device(s)

2. Add devices in the Duux app (see the previous FAQ)

You can skip this section if you have already added devices to your Duux app.

3. Set up and configure Google Home in Home Control

To set up your Google Home, see the installation instructions on the Google website here.

4. Link Duux account to Google Home

4.1 On the Google Home app home screen, click the “+” (add) button in the top left corner and select “Set up device”.

4.2 Select the option “Has something already been set up?”.

4.3 Look for “Duux Smart” in the list.

4.4 Enter your login details for the Duux app (email address and password) and click “Link now” to connect.

4.5 Allow access to Google by clicking “Authorize”.

4.6 Select the device or devices you want to pair and follow the final steps to complete the process.

4.7 Congratulations! You can now control your smart devices via Google Home. Please note that we are working on new features that will be released soon.

CONNECTING THE AMAZON ALEXA

1. What you need to get started:

Before using Alexa to control your devices, you must meet the following requirements:

  • An Echo, Echo dot, or Echo plus device (any generation)
  • Latest Alexa app (compatible with Fire OS, Android and iOS devices)
  • An Amazon account
  • Duux app and related account
  • Duux smart device (s)

2. Add devices in the Duux app (see the previous FAQ)

You can skip this section if you have already added devices to your Duux app.

3. Use the Alexa app to set up your Echo

To set up your Echo, refer to the instructions on the Amazon website here.

4. Link Duux account to Alexa

4.1 In the Alexa app, go to Devices and tap “Your Smart Home Skills”.

4.2 Select “Enable Smart Home Skills”.

4.3 Search for the Duux skill, tap “Enable for use” and log in with your Duux app account.

4.4 Enter your login credentials for the Duux app (email address and password) and click “Authorize” to connect.

4.5 Close the window by pressing the close symbol (“X”) in the top left corner.

4.6 Now select “Discover devices”.

4.7 Let Alexa search for devices that are connected in the Duux app.

4.8 Select “Choose device”.

4.9 Select the device (s) you want to add and tap “Set up device”.

4.10 If desired, add this device to a group you have already created in the Alexa app.

4.11 Congratulations! You can now control your smart devices via Alexa. Please note that we are working on new assignments that will be released soon.

CONNECTING HOMEY

1. What you need to get started:

Before using Homey to control your devices, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • A Homey or Homey Pro device (any generation)
  • Latest Homey app (compatible with Android and iOS devices)
  • A Homey account
  • Duux app and related account
  • Duux smart device(s)

2. Add devices in Duux app (Refer to previous FAQ)

You can skip this part if you’ve added devices to your Duux app

3. Install Duux via Homey Apps.

To install Duux via Homey Apps, please click here. This link will redirect you to the Duux app page in the Homey app.

4. Start the pairing process via Homey Devices

4.1. Click on the “Duux” badge to connect the Duux app with Homey

4.2 Enter the email address of your Duux account and copy the Homey Pin code from the Duux App (this can be found under ‘Settings > Link with Homey App’)

4.3 Select the Duux device(s) you would like to connect and click “install” to complete the installation.

4.4 Congratulations! You can now control your smart devices through Homey. Please refer to this page for the supported flows.
